Dr Justin McNamara

Psychologist

Justin is a child and adolescent psychologist who has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Justin has worked with children, adolescents, and families in schools, private practice and other settings. He has been the head of counselling at two large independent schools.

Justin’s therapeutic approach utilises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, along with systems approaches. Justin supports a range of general mental health presentations for children and adolescents, including anxiety, mood and wellbeing concerns. He has a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, along with parents and carers. He has expertise in helping young people with complex emotional regulation and behavioural issues. He works intensively with schools to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
