Become a part of the laneway clinic team as a psychologist working with youth
Are you looking for a role where your commitment to quality clinical care is valued? Where your own mental health is paramount? Where you are part of a passionate team that is supportive and focuses on professional development? Do you want to work in a large clinic space that is inspiring and encourages collegial interaction?
About us:
The Laneway Clinic is a friendly youth-focused psychology practice that specifically focuses on Obsessive-Compulsive Related Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. We uphold a strong practice of evidenced-based and ethical client care, supported by continual professional development and collegial support.
Although our name and warehouse-based clinic was born in 2021, the director, Ivan Mathieson, has been running his own private practice for nearly 15 years. The Laneway Clinic was established to create an environment that is welcoming to all people, but especially those aged from 10 to 25 years. We have fitted out an old warehouse, which has enabled us to have open space for staff to interact, share professional expertise and socialise.
Our current clinicians have special interests in ADHD, Tourette’s, OCD and Related Disorders and other neuro-developmental conditions. Although we aim to focus on these clinical areas, we are also very open to support psychologists in developing their skills and profession in areas that they are passionate about.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU:
A positive working community
We know that work as a psychologist can be isolating, so we highly value how well connected our team is and the professional and social support that we provide to each other.
A flexible workplace
We recognise that you have the expertise and traits to manage your own clinical work and practice. As such, we encourage clinicians to pursue their areas of interest and practice. Not only do we recognise that you have busy lives outside of your work, but that there are many other things that are important for your happiness and wellbeing. We are able to be flexible in terms of working hours and other aspects of the job.
Remuneration
We recognise the value psychologists provide to our clients and our clinic. As such, you will be remunerated generously and with a market leading salary. Given that ongoing high quality professional development is essential to best practice, we also provide a substantial professional development budget.
Administration support and resources
Our administration team provides extensive support to minimise the number of tasks required outside of clinical tasks. They will complete all administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, billing, document proof-reading and all non-clinical correspondence. We also have a growing resources library that includes a range of assessment tools and treatment manuals.
The Position:
Part Time or Full Time (minimum two days per week)
We would prefer psychologists to be permanent employees, but are open to contracting arrangements for committed psychologists.
Provide clinical intervention and assessment to young people.
Although we are offering a permanent employee position, we also welcome psychologists who wish to discuss contracting options.
About you:
You are passionate about the field of psychology and about helping clients in need.
You want to be a part of a collegial and supportive environment where all team members form genuine professional connections.
You practice with integrity and place a high value on ethical practice.
You can work autonomously while being open to learning from others.
You interact with clients and colleagues in a warm, compassionate and professional manner.
